Bob K:
The best way I know of to find out if a board has been properly cleaned is to use Terry Munson's C3 instrument.
I've seen it and it's incredible. http://www.residues.com/C3.html

Subject: [TN] Inspecting "Clean"
Hi,
Dumb Question:
Is there any type of "Flux" or board coating material that will allow a X-Ray system to inspect how well a board was cleaned?
Some type of material with exceptionally good X-Ray blocking or some other property that allows the material to be detected under a part?
