We in the past developed and trained to our Certification Program
Procedure and used the IPC J Std 001, IPC A 610, and IPC 7711/7721 specs
as references. Did a lot of workmanship samples (terminals, used IPC J
Std 001 kit, rework and repair assemblies using a kit from (STI). I
Went an developed a cable and harness class based IPC A 620 spec using a
cable and harness kit from STI.
Recently we have started to actually run IPC classes in IPC J Std-001,
IPC 7711/7721 and IPC A 620 that leading to IPC certifications.
Prefer workmanship, as much as possible for operators, in any training
classes. Jon
