All DC current induced thermal cycling test methods are based on the development of this test methodology at Northern Telecom by Rama Munikoti. Since Northern Telecom had no interest in commercially exploiting this methodology, two companies developed commercially viable test apparatus from that original concept-PWB Solutions in Canada and IBM in Endicott. IBM may still do this internally, but the IBM test is commercially run by Endicut Technologies [I think this is correct].
