ALWAYS ask the manufacturer...
They are the ones you will ultimately need to go to when the parts don't work...
All the anecdotal data is good guidance but when push comes to shove, an e-mail or datasheet from the manufacturer covers all finger pointing and legal issues...
Been there...Done that...

can go in the washer? I look over a couples of part but I don't see any
info in the spec sheet, Do ou guys find something on that topics? Or do
