Hi Jon and folks! Please re-read the bonus question as the melting point
is not the correct property answer for the element in question.

Dave

Subject: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz - the Question

Hi folks - here is the Friday Element Quiz Answer:

The Question:

This element is the "least used" within its metallic "group". It is very

brittle and forms a volatile, toxic oxide species. One of its oxide
species is used as a staining agent to detect fingerprints. It is added
as
an alloy addition to increase hardness for a product most of us never
use
- premium quality fountain pen tips. What element is this?

Bonus Points - This element has the highest XXXX property of all of the
metallic elements. Name that property.

The winner of the quiz will get to put Clumpy to work for a week.

So far Clumpy has:

Week 1 Lamar Young, SCS Coatings
- accomplished nothing (drank lots of coffee)

Week 2 Bev Christian, RIM
- conducted REACH material testing

Week 3 Drew Meyer, Benchmark Electronics Inc.
- Solderability testing and mowed the lawn

Week 4 Ian Fox, Goodrich
- had an epic journey of travel

Week 4 Gary Ferrari, Garrick Global
- ???? Gary owes us a description

Week 5 Fredrick Miller, Astrolab
- ???? Fredrick owes us a description

Week 6 David Nelson, Raytheon
- Was a tackling dummy for Dallas Cowboys

Week 7 Graham Collins, L3 Communications
- Cleaned gutters and painted window trim

Week 8 Bill Noel, ITT Geospatial Systems Division
- ???? Bill owes us a description

Good Luck.
