I have been in the Mojave and Arizona deserts where it has been 50ºC+ in the shade and 65ºC in the sun 6 feet off the ground.

I know a lot of you feel I deserve my special place in hell, well I've been there and already made my down payment.

I was in Romania recently, +45 Centigrades as most. So Mojave is nothing for

me, rather sitting on nunatak with a beer.

Don't you believe this MAC software is super stable. For example, unless

Apple recently changed things I recall MAC OS protection model allows

execution off a stack. Microsoft cleaned that a long time ago.

But, it is absolutely true that more hackers attack Windows. Living out in

the Mojave might save you a mugging but Central Park is a much nicer place

to take a walk.

Take your pick! :-)

Out of the Box Vista was MUCH better than XP plus most XP users ran as

administrators, that is just asking for the kiss of death. I do know MACs

can get malware, it is just not as common.

PS Actually most of the Mojave dwellers spend a lot of time using WINE or

other VMs to walk in Central park, and they can still get mugged anyways.

I gave up. Reinstalled Win 7. The whole operation with saving on external

disk and reinstall all programs again took nearly whole day. I understand

Graham's romance with Mac.

Inge,

You can also email Microsoft through a form from this website

https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=9860&st=1&wfxredirect=1

&sd=gn

They no longer have a phone number for this but inside of where it's asking

you to buy there should be a phone contact option, you may need to do that.

You need to check your computer for a license sticker like this,

http://www.runnerduck.com/images/cod-sticker.jpg. If you have one of these

you have a valid license and someone may have grabbed your code and used it.

You simply need to contact Microsoft, I know easier said than done.

Basically as long as you have this sticker you need to call Microsoft, it's

likely someone stole your code and took over your "license".
