Inge,

Could it be that something got corrupted in Win7 that it no longer thinks it is 
genuine?

Could you try reinstalling Win7 with the original validation to see if it gets 
fixed? It may be a pain but it might be the only way to fix it.

Have you changed any hardware in the PC lately? It may use serial numbers or 
MAC addresses to identify the PC. This may change the validation key. 

It could also be a problem on the Microsoft validation server. I read on 
Wikipedia that there have been issues with the server causing some 
computers to lose their validation.
