Sweet Corn Season?

 Isn't it kind of late for sweet corn unless it was planted really late? The
field corn is pretty well far along here in Maryland. You don't want to eat
that. (At least not until it gets turned into steak.)

 I could be wrong, we never grew much sweet corn. Once we put sweet corn
seed in one of the feeders when we planted corn. Problem was the raccoons
and dear figured that out pretty quick. Early field corn is not bad when the
ears are young.

but I'm thinking about lurking in the background once I get home.

Unfortunately I never got a chance to meet many of you but I feel like I
know many of you having chatted over the many years that TechNet has
been up
and running. I wish you all the best and hope that TechNet lives long.

Not being one that lives only to go to work and fight fires I will keep
very
busy doing the things I love to do, boating in one of my three boats
(sailing dingy, cabin cruiser and 1963 restored motor boat), seeing the
country while camping in our new 5th wheel, working in my woodshop
making
many wonderful things and restoring my 1960 Sunbeam Alpine sports car.
It
almost doesn't sound like I'm going to quit working but it will
certainly be
a different kind of work, if you really want to call it that.
