Hi,

 Suggestion:

Do not think of a "Marked End" as pin 1. Very often a marked end and pin 1
are very different.

If you think of "Orientation Marks" only then you can completely forget
about pin numbers.

I have seen so many folks try to setup diodes so the cathode is pin 1 is
the mark, it is a loosing battle. Stick with Orientation Mark and life is
simpler.

GA Tan,

I'd guess that Pin 1 is shaped that way to indicate that it is Pin 1, and
Pins 5 and 6 to indicate that they are ground. Although Pin 1 is often a
different shape, I have not seen ground pins shaped differently before.

Hi all,
I will like to learn and know why is the component (QPI-3)
terminals designed in the way for pin #1, pin#5 and pin#6, any special
reason?

Thanks in advance.
