Rudy,
we have stripped gold on  thin film substrates for decaces with Iodine
without noticing any aggression to Nickel.

I am gonna have to dig deep on this one, BUT my long distant memory tells me
that there is a gold stripper based on Iodine! Key issue may be does it
attack Nickel? Lemme dig in here. Or would Iodine be "beyond the RIM"? I, of
course, would prefer to give you a stripper which was "nothing but net".
