Hi folks - ok, here is the Friday Element Quiz Question:

The Question:

This element has been described as "titanium on steroids". Both Ti and
this element have the same HCP and BCC crystal structures, are highly
reactive, are costly to refine and difficult to machine. This element has
a low CTE thus making it ideal for coupling with ceramic materials.
Australia and South Africa are the largest producers of ore which contains
this element. Nuclear applications accounted for approximately 90% of this
element's sales. Which element am I?

We are getting kinda low on office furniture so the winner of this week's
quiz will get Dave Torp's chair (IPC Vice President, Standards and
Technology). I don't know what kind of chair Dave has but it probably is
better than Doug's or mine.

Good Luck.
