Linda,

As an alternative, you may aquire the ink and use a stylus, or 'pick' to
carefully update that flaws.  I've used a standard dental pick in the past
for similar applications.

Picture yourself back in Charles Dicken's day with an ink well and quill
:-)

I know that Markem [and others] sell thermal and UV cure inks.  Don't think
the MEK based, evaporative inks would work too well with this approach.
