Hi Karen,
IPC 1-10c has drafted 2221 appendix A as the new and improved system for conformance coupons. In the draft, the M coupon has been dumped and in its place is the new "W" coupon. The "W" coupon includes features for dip-n-look, NPL-SMART-Bob Willis et. al. Spread, and wetting balance.
Underway currently are project(s) to correlate Spread to Wetting Balance parametric pass/fail, which implies that in the near future we should be able to move Spread and Wetting Balance to J-STD section for test with pass/fail!
I hesitate to so publicly announce such activities, but I have a vested (volunteer) interest in no surprise dissention during 1-10c voting in September.
I'll contact you offline with the information on how to get the draft gerbers for W.
