In fact this little figure was carved by a local carpentier as a joke.  One 
day a business man saw it and took the idea to  his home made gallery 
industry, and until today he has sold thousands and thousands. Very popular 
as a gift.  The kind of tree for getting the 'indicator ' is a secret.  The 
hygrometer works very good. Hot and dry days it's bent nearly 90 degrees up, 
and rainy days the opposite. It takes a couple of hours from straight 
horisontal to max bent up, so he is slow on stimuli, so as to say.
