Looking at today's issues of Circuitnet News Letter I clicked on the "RoHS War Stories"  I have not read it all but got to the part of False Positives with Cd and found myself saying Yep... sure do remember that ... more than once we sent out a part to have it verified as being Compliant or Non Compliant because we were having discussions amongst us and getting nowhere.  In do agree finding a replacement for lead - yea good luck...   spectral over lap also occurs with Hg (Mercury) and it took us a while to convince engineering and out compliance guys that the high Hg readings were overlap.
GREAT article which I have passed on to our engineering and compliance folks.

If any of the TechNet folks get the Circuitnet News Letter by all means open it and read.... enlightening to be sure..
