for Flat Ribbon, L, and Gull Wing Leads the sides and toe don't have to be 
soldered. Background as far as I know is, that these sides might not be 
wetable. In contrast, a wetting of one side is required for Round or 
Flattened Leads (8.2.6.8), because they are wettable.

IPC 610 Cl 2 states that a side overhang of 50% is acceptable. Does that 
means, which seems obvious but not stated, that an acceptable solder 
fillet is 
required on one side only? Does the same apply to the toe, which allows 
for 
an overhang?
