Sigh... right words wrong order.

Having professionally fabbed boards does add a touch of class to a "hobby" project... assuming anyone you know cares to look inside.

My kids would just shake their heads and call me a Loser. It is still fun to be a Geek.

I've used ExpressPCB. I think that is to whom you are referrng, Phil.
PCBExpress is a division of Sunstone.

The layout software works, but doesn't have a lot of features. I've done a fair
number of simple, small boards for the test equipment I design for in-house
use. I don't recommend getting their lead-free finish if you will be hand
soldering, I didn't have a lot of luck with it.

They also have a schematic drawing package that links to their PCB layout
package. Unfortunately, you can't export files in a usable format, so if you use
their software you must order the boards from them, unless you are making
them yourself.

There are other free design packages out there that I can look up later at
home.

have the layout software, their prices are reasonable and our experience has
been very favorable. Leaves more room for toys in the garage.
