I've used ExpressPCB. I think that is to whom you are referrng, Phil.
PCBExpress is a division of Sunstone.
The layout software works, but doesn't have a lot of features. I've done a fair
number of simple, small boards for the test equipment I design for in-house
use. I don't recommend getting their lead-free finish if you will be hand
soldering, I didn't have a lot of luck with it.
They also have a schematic drawing package that links to their PCB layout
package. Unfortunately, you can't export files in a usable format, so if you use
their software you must order the boards from them, unless you are making
them yourself.
There are other free design packages out there that I can look up later at
home.
