Hi gang! Here is the Friday Element Quiz answer -sorry for not getting
this out but I left early on Friday to go whitewater kayaking in Wisconsin
(and it snowed!).

The Question:

The existence of this element was predicted in 1870 and was then first
isolated 5 years later. This element had no significant commercial use
until 1970 and 98% of this element's production is used for a specific
functionality. This element contracts approximately 3.4% upon melting. It
has a very unusual crystal structure - oC8. Who am I?

The Answer:

I am the element Ga - Gallium

Drew Meyer was first with the correct answer!

And Inge is correct, I'll need to make the quiz tougher as everyone is
getting the answers very quickly.
