Thanks for passing on the news, although it is sad. Earl was a very proud man. I know he spent one cold winter in Michigan in something not much better than a tent and it sure didn't do his feet any good. But you couldn't really the old fart what to do. He did what he wanted.

I know some of you that have been on the TechNet for a while, know of Earl Moon.

I knew him to be outspoken, and a rebel, but he knew his stuff. Tonight I thought I would try and track him down to see how he was doing since we had stayed in touch with each other for some years, but we had lost touch, and I hadn't spoken with him for about 4-5 years.

I learned tonight that Earl passed away about 2-years ago. He left Michigan and went west to somewhere in Idaho to be in the mountains when his health started failing. I was told that he knew that he didn't have much time left, and wanted to be in the mountains that he loved when his time came. And as I was told; Earl did what he wanted to do.

Rest in peace Earl.
