Hi,

I normally wouldn't post this here but as some of you may know someone
out of work right now I thought that you could pass this on to those
that might be interested.  We are looking to hire a new Software
Engineer. The job description is as follows:


JOB TITLE:  Senior Software Engineer

DEPARTMENT:	Engineering

REPORTS TO:	V.P. Engineering

DATE:	December 1, 2009

JOB SUMMARY:	

Responsible for research, design, and development of embedded software /
firmware systems, in conjunction with hardware product development for
the application of DSP controls for power electronic products.
Performs systems engineering including architecture, requirements
definition, and system level debug.  Responsible for all phases of the
product development including requirement identification, design, test,
documentation and product support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.	Applies the principles and techniques of computer science,
engineering and mathematical analysis toward the successful completion
of assigned tasks.

2.	Analyzes requirements to determine feasibility of design within
time, cost and overall system constraints.

3.	Consults with Senior Project Engineer and other engineering
staff to evaluate and  optimize the interface between hardware and
software/firmware and operational performance requirements of the
overall system.

4.	Develop software design, programming and software systems test
procedures and documentation with a solid understanding of end-to-end
system requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

BSCE or BSEE with 7+ years minimum experience (or MSCE/MSEE with 5+
years experience) is required.  
Experience with the use of DSP diagnostic/debug tools.  
3+ years with C programming language is required.  
3+ years experience in real time firmware development on DSPs is
desired.  
Experience with power electronics is desired.  
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
