Rudy hit it right on the money. We have boards that are oxidized black
and I was contending it was a silver finish not tin. I expected tin to
have a yellow gold tarnish going to grey. Rudy said you can't tell the
base metal by the color (colour) of the oxide and Bev gives the
technical reason for that.

I know we were dealing with a "redox" reaction but was looking for the
practical answer. 

TinTin - I had to laugh.
