Ni Rhodium was an acceptable Mil-Spec vibration plating for fingers in
the 70's and 80's but then gold became cheaper. Much harder than gold.
Two piece connectors are much better suited to this environment.

Subject: [TN] Gold Finger Plating for High Vibration Environments
Dear Technetters:
We are trying to advise a client on PCB specifications for a future
product build. These boards are heavily weighted down with water-cooled
heat sinks
and heavy transformers. In the end use environment the boards are
vibrated under load and eventually the hard gold 4 um thick goldfinger
contacts are rubbed down to the laminate level.
Besides a mechanical redesign any other plating surfaces anyone would
recommend?
Thanks!
Regards
Bob Wettermann
