Kevin,
wouldn't make it more complicated than necessary. Why not just use a Dremel
with a suitable rondell and touch the solder joint for a second. It will be
matte.
And IF you still want to use a paint, consider that the light wave at that
frequency may not see the paint black as you do, instead it may be
transparent.
