Hi Paul - the color of oxidized tin tends to be a slate to dark gray. 
However, as Bev detailed, the visible color of an oxide species can vary 
widely depending on what type of exposure it has seen. We use SERA testing 
to analytically determine the oxidized state of tin.

Hi Everyone,

If we have oxidized tin what colour would you expect tin oxidation to
be.

I thought silver would oxidize black while tin might be more yellow or
gold.

Notice I used the word colour because I am in Canada.
