Bob,
I suggest you add some UV tracer material to the material you are trying to clean and then place this under your component. Otherwise, your process may clean another "test" material but not the contaminant you are really trying to remove.

Has anyone seen any products that can be used to test board cleaning?
I was thinking about something you put on the board, assemble, wash, remove parts, and see if this material is still under the parts.
Something that glows under UV light would work fine.
