We're quoting a Rigid Flex design that requires scoring for de-panalization. We
typically use breakaway tabs but the CM is insisting on scoring.
It's a 6 layer rigid with 2 layers of flex, 0.062" thick, balanced build. Flex is a
DuPont AP8525 with FR0110 covers.
Our scoring service bureau has indicated that they can run the job by
performing a deeper score from one side that will cut through the flex and a
shallow score from the other leaving the web offset.
Our past experiance (2 years ago) with scoring through flex was problematic.
Is this a process common and or doable and are there any other issues to be
addressed / concerned about?
Thanks
