Bob,
The substances (elements/compounds) are the same in the legislation of
the EU, South Korea and PRC, but you should also pay attention to the
other details in China's version. Also, don't forget REACH, although
the likelihood of any of those chemicals being in a bare circuit board
is low. Whole device? Another matter!

Subject: [TN] Most Restrictive RoHS Specification

We've contracted with an ODM in Taiwan to design a custom PC motherboard
for our next generation Nielsen TV Meter. Our intent is to use it for
our television metering businesses globally, if at all possible, as well
as our American markets and have specified that it must be RoHS
compliant. The design house has asked which specification we must meet,
so our thinking was to go for the most restrictive and work back from
there. Presently, we're deploying our television metering technology in
the regions/countries listed. My question is, which region has the most
restrictive RoHS standards, or is meeting the EU requirements as good as
we can do?

Meters are deployed in:
Americas (3)
Europe (13)
Middle East and Africa (2)
Asia Pacific (9)

Thanks in advance,

Bob
