Thank you Steven. If this was a one time thing, I would do as you
suggest, but this will be for a regular production operation and I don't
want the operators to have to make them up.

Re: [TN] aluminum weighing boats
Doug,
If you can not find the weighing boats you like, you might try to make
them
yourself - subject to how many you need.
Get the thickest aluminum foil you can find at the store/supplier, 2-3X
layers if necessary, and form it over a mandrel of some nature [eg - a
pine
furring strip, with rounded edges, or a suitable cardboard box]. Trim if
necessary.
May have to provide a carrier tray to move the filled tray to your oven,
etc.

Subject: [TN] aluminum weighing boats
Good morning all,
A quick question for the group. I am looking for a source of aluminum
weighing "boats", that would be about 4-6" long, 1-2" wide and maybe 1/2"
deep. Has to be aluminum because the application is high temp. Needs to
be disposable.
Most of the chemical or lab supply place that I normally use have aluminum
weighing pans/boats, but all are much smaller, usually 1-2" in diameter. I
need something larger.
Thanks.
