Sounds like you're referring to the Dage system. FWIW I have worked with
them here in UK on a number of projects in the last few years.
I'm not expert on X-ray machine technology, but whatever it's got inside it,
their NT100 has worked well on product evaluation and customer
investigations. We have always been able to tickle it to see and measure
exactly what we needed. Sometimes amazingly so considering the variety of
things we wanted to look at.
Conveniently they are just down the road from us, so there may be other
systems that can do this, but have seen no need to try and find out.

Regards

Subject: [TN] X-Ray Systems

Hi all,

We are looking for new analytic X-Ray system especially for BGA and QFN
solder joints inspection. Most of the leading systems use open tube.
However, there is one manufacturer who declares that he use closed tube
-"Sealed transmissive type of X-Ray tube" According to this manufacturer,
the best system can recognize 100nm features size-which is fantastic! My
question: If you know how this sealed tube works, what is your opinion
regarding the differences between the usual open tube and this specific
closed tube? Which technology is better?

Thanks,

Eli.
