Thanks a lot, Werner and John.

This is SAS connector(http://portal.fciconnect.com/res/en/pdffiles/950504-007_Disk_Drive_Interface_Connectors.pdf), the voltage is lower than 48 volt and the signal speed running on the pin is high up to 6Gbps.

Merry X'mas.

 Hi charming,
hat you are proposing to build is quite difficult, because you only have 11
ils of 'meat' between holes. If you can drill without any glass fiber rip-outs
this can be done but only with frequently replaced new drills and very
arefully controlled drilling parameters, you can avoid CAF. CAF starts at the
eparations of glass fibers from the resin matrix due to 'aggressive' drilling.

connector, which is 31mil pitch design with 16mil press fit hole. The drill bit
s supposed to use 20mil, then the drilled hole wall to drilled hole wall
pacing is only 11mil. I'm quite concerned on the CAF risk and the pcb
abrication quality(plating wicking, glass fiber cracking, etc.) on our 4.0mm
hick backplane.
