As a CM there's not much you can do if the design is bad and not per PEM's
requirements. Working with your customer and PEM on the front is the answer.

We have used PEM standoffs, studs and nuts in pc boards, sheet metal, and
copper bus bars for years.  I can think of only one assembly house having
any problem with the pc board mount type and that was because they didn't
install them as recommended by PEM.  As Lenny Carter said, if you use them
as intended you should have no problems.
