I would say.... it depends. Some CEM1 out there in pretty harsh env. for
many many years. Not recommending it, but it could be made to work, at
least prior to PbFree processes and finishes....

Hello All,
Our power system suppliers build single-sided pcb with paper-based
substrates, the holes on the pcb are non-plated and no solder fill for
through-hole component. As I know, paper-based substrates are generally
used for the pcb build of low-cost, low-reliability, consumer products.
Our company sells CLASS 2 networking products, which are supposed to work
in harsh environment. Is it reliable enough to use such single-sided power
assembly? Thanks a lot for kindly input.
Best Regards
Charming Chan
