I don't think you get "hermetic" sealing with cover tape and as far as I
hermetic sealing doesn't play into ESD shielding performance.

Also, "antistatic" doesn't equate with shielding or Faraday cage.

If it hermetic sealed and packaged as a Faraday package, and unless it is
not opened, you can hold / handled it without wrist straps

We have parts in antistatic reels and sealed with antistatic cover tape. Do
we need to handle with wriststraps or would this suffice as a Faraday cage?
