Just out of curiousity Phil...

How thick is the PCB?
What kind of termination metallurgy is on the resistors?
What kind of solder are you using?
Are the resistors glass-passivated or thick film?

Paul

Subject: [TN] Need a hot air or IR rework station

We have some high voltage multiplier boards that measure about 17 inches by 17 inches square and we need to be able to easily rework sixty four 1825 MLCC capacitors on each board. We have 65 boards to rework. To date we have had issues with the capacitors cracking or increasing in value after hand soldering.

What is a reasonably priced system that could perform this task? Offline comments welcome.

Oh, and we need the equipment NOW!

Thanks in advance.
