You just have to be careful not to over use the alcohol on your hands - especially in the dry times of the year (Fall and Winter - flu season). It can leave your hands dried and cracked if you tend to over use it, and that is prime territory for other bacterial (non-virus) infections to gain entry into the body. Using alcohol in moderate use, and using lotions and creams to mitigate the drying affects of the alcohol (after you go home, obviously) may be a good way to guard against the flu virus when you come into contact with someone who refuses to go home till they get over it...

Subject: Re: [TN] Doug's Sanitiizer Paper - presented at IPC MidWest?

If it is H1N1 that you're worried about, the most effective sanitiser that you can use can be found in your ionic contamination tester.
Apparently, a 50-75% IPA solution will kill the virus within 1 second and you can be pretty sure it will not contaminate your assemblies as it dries very quickly on the hands.

Was it presented? If anyone else's facility is like hours, then we are all practically swimming in this stuff........
