Joey,

By default, no UL marking is not required.  For instance military
product do not have UL markings and prototypes sometimes don't.  If the
board is required to have UL markings it will usually be specified on
the procurement documentation.  Then it will specify if the recognition
required is flammability only (V-0) or full recognition. 

If UL markings are required it would have to be identified by the
Manufacturer UL logo and the type designation.  The type designations
are listed on the UL Card with the parameters that the board has been
tested and recognized with. If the board is too small or does not have
adequate space (2.5 mm high) for the UL mark then the mark shall be
place on the smallest unit container (UL 796 Section 31).
