The MIL-STD-2000 standard had a requirement that you had one year before
you had to retest or if you pretinned the parts, you had two years before
retest but I don't know of any other industry document with a specific
requirement.

RE: [TN] J-STD-002 question

Oh, I thought somewhere in one of my editing reads of the standard it
gave a time frame for retest. Perhaps wishful thinking on my part?

Hi Bev - the JSTD-002 is only the test method protocols. How you
treat/use
the components after solderability would be in accordance with one of
your
own internal procedures or possibly the JSTD-001 specification.

[TN] J-STD-002 question

Technetters,
Our librarian, excuse me information specialist is AWOL. I have a
question about the above-mentioned standard and I don't have a copy of
mine own. What does the standard say about the length of time
components can be used after passing a solderability test before they
have to be tested again or disposed of?
