In the Navy in a Fighter Squadron attached to an Aircraft Carrier, we were berthed just under the arresting gear wires aft and one compartment over from the breaks. Had to sleep with a radio on after I got out outer wise I could not go to sleep. Music to the ears don't ya know.....
