What do you mean by "overheated"? The structure of the solidified solder shouldn't depend on how high it was heated above liquidus,



I have pictures of SAC 305 after very long aging at rather high temperatures (they were published a while ago), so if you need them please let me know.

Does anyone have a cross-section image of SAC-305 that has been

overheated (i.e. solder iron was kept on too long or the thermal profile

was too high)?



If so, please ship it over to me in a JPG format. I have to show some

people what it looks like.
