Hi Bruce - one issue you are going to encounter is that the shear data for
Sn63 is very dependant on the specimen configuration, temperature, test
speed and solder joint configuration. One data set which has some industry
acceptance is the information published in the International Tin Research
Institute Publication 656, titled "Solder Alloy Data: Mechanical
Properties of Solders and Soldered Joints". I recommend caution is using
any Sn63 shear strength data beyond a first order approximation without
some type of real world validation. Good Luck.

[TN] SN63 Shear Strength over temp
Hello technetters I have searched the web for a table showing SN63 shear
strength over temp and have found numerous websites providing formulas.
Does anyone know where a table exists or is willing to share some data
they have collected? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
