Your troop must be hanging around the Campfire girls.

Oh yes. All the Boy Scouts in my Troop carry a small bottle of the
Purell, not for hand sanitizing, but as a fire starting aid when the
wood
is damp. Coupled with a 9 V battery and a little 4/0 steel wool, can
have
a nice little fire going in no time.

So, go be a Scout Leader. It prepares you for many of the inappropriate

material uses you see regularly in manufacturing.

Hi Rudy,

You are a great watch dog but I sometimes question you cautions as being
a
little over cautious. Because of this I took some Purell and set it on
fire.
By golly it burns quite nicely and you don't even see the flame. With
30%+
water in it I rather doubted that it would support combustion but I have

to
admit I was totally wrong.

Thanks for keeping an eye on us ;-)

One has to ask, if any hand germicides are effective against viruses.
It is a good bet that benz alkonium types are not. (This stuff is a
GERMICIDE, and thus meant to be effective against GERMS/bacteria, not
necessarily viruses)
I would suspect the alcohol based germicides have a good shot at being
effective.
But these are flammable...
Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
