Hmm, not sure what is the latest development on lab on chip. Mix of the free stuff you get with the "activa" would be a small scale of battle field on screen?

Subject: Re: [TN] Contamination by Hand Sanitizers & Lotions

I have absolutely no equipment or lab here, since retirement, and no
means to establish one. I don't remember seeing silanes or quaternary
salts in the composition but remember these products are more anti-viral
than anti-bacterial. The main active component is isopropanol (about
75%). The PPG/PEG/oil components are probably more to give a better
slippery sensation when rubbing it in to the skin. There is also a
microbicide and I think it is a polychlorophenoxy phenol type (very wide
spectrum) in very small concentrations. It is the PPG/PEG components
that worry me the most and these possibly retain some of the IPA/water
azeotrope.

Some are "anti-microbial organosilicon quaternary ammonium salt". Very intresting. Brian, could you do your research out side the hospital? I know it might cost you few cents to buy the test samples, and no pretty ladies wear white coat to admire your work. But it might have better air (beside the H1N1 stuff).
