Alright Steve-a-rino !! Thanks for posting the good news.

Billy Joel used to sing about that place, didn't he?

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted since I was laid-off, seems like years,
but I've been given an opportunity with R & D Circuits Assembly Division,
in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I'll be working for Guy Ramsey who has been a
"technetter" for probably as long as I have, and who has contributed so
much to the IPC. I am looking forward to working with Guy and the
impressive team that he has created there. They do some very special
assemblies with some very, very special PCB's, and the people there know
what they're doing. He has given me an opportunity to join his team. I hope
to apply what I've learned over the years, learn about the "special things"
that it takes to build these boards, and become a contributing member of
his team.

You know, I wouldn't have had this opportunity if it weren't for the
TechNet, for which I'm grateful. This is going to mean a relocation for me,
which I'm up for, but it is a bit of work after living in the same place
for the past 10-years. You never know how much crap you have until you have
to move! I'm throwing so much stuff away. I know I probably had good
intentions when I've kept things; "I can't throw this away, I'll probably
be able to use it later..." Well, the chickens come home to roost when you
have to move, and you seriously have to think about having enough room on a
U-Haul truck to pack all the crap you thought was "useful" in there. I've
been going through all my things with the rule-of-thumb: If I haven't
physically touched something in the past year or two, then it's history.

I'm looking to start with R & D the first week of September. Hoping to get
out to Allentown, (Whitehall, PA is actually where I'll be living), get
settled in my new place, and be able to completely focus on my new job.

Steve
