Subject: [TN] AW: membership limitations to TechNet

Kevin

When we discussed the usefulness of the internet for a forum in 1992 together
with Dieter Bergman and Werner Engelmaier nobody ever thought that the net would
once become such a public domain.
I do agree that Dieters initial idea of such a platform is misused nowadays for
promotional reasons. However, limiting the forum to IPC members seems a very
hard restriction for me. Compared to the useful mails, the spams are rare and I
can well live with them using my DELETE button.
