Maryland is a "At Will" (I think that's the term) were either parts can
terminate employment for any reason.
There are good and bad employers just as there are good and bad employees.

Your comments are interesting, but in many states this is certainly not the
case. Employers can be as abusive as they desire.
What is the particular stature which prohibits this behavior; I certainly
believe such a probation is needed.
