Hi Ioan,



Dave gave you all the references you need, but solderanility testing and real solderability of a board - very often two different things.



I usually recommend my customers to get down to the root cause of a problem.



You can send the boards to me for analysis if you want to.

Dear Technos,



 



The PCB HASL wetting issues saga is not over. The PCB fab told me they are doing XRF on the pads. Does this have anything in common with solderability assessment?



 



What would be the methods of measuring solderability of HASL bare boards? And what are the pass limits?
