I've only seen about one picture of a board meant for space; but it
looked like that.  At least the picture from 6' away did.  Anyhow, might
that be good for cases where one wants the lowest emissions/noise
pickup?  I also wonder about those high energy particles that they worry
about in space (rad-hard IC's and the like).

Ha...  We had a designer at one time who thought that surface traces
were bad, very bad.  So every pad for every part had a short trace that
immediately went to a via and the signal was routed to an inner layer.
Seriously.  That guy needs your doctor...
