I would suggest the following:

Printed Circuits Handbook, Clyde Coombs, 5th Edition, McGraw Hill.   ISBN 
0-07-135016-0

Electronic Materials and Processes Handbook, Charles Harper, 3rd Edition, 
McGraw Hill, ISBN 0-07-140214-4

Both are excellent books for someone new to the field.

Can anybody suggest us the reference book for SMT/PCB technology ?
I am looking the book which should cover basic theory of SMT/PCB etc.
