Hi Doug

You should try asking Tyco - but heaven knows which division.

They were in a law suite a few years back against someone who had  
infringed a patent on such a material/process. I know there was  
someone in Germany doing something similar but you might want to talk  
with John Waryold, he tried this many years ago though I don't know  
whatever happened to it.

Having said that, you could use a fluorine coating - its great at  
waterproofing but its mar and temperature resistance suck.
